The question now is how much work has gone into this version of the game. If it’s just a remaster that updates the frame rate and resolution but leaves the core experience unchanged, it’s understandable that the game would run on the Nintendo Switch.
This news may not please fans
However, this may disappoint fans who are hoping for something more substantial, especially since the game is already available via backward compatibility on Xbox and has received a few updates to improve performance on Xbox One and Series X|S.
If this version is a complete reimagining of *Red Dead Redemption* using the technology from the franchise’s second game, it’s possible that running it on the Nintendo Switch could be a challenge. But only time will tell. We’ll have to wait and see if Rockstar Games can pull this off and bring the Red Dead Redemption experience to the Nintendo console.
