March 17, 2024, at 11:01 a.m.

A Mojang, owner of the Minecraft, issued a warning on Friday, the 15th, recommending that players avoid updating the game through the Xbox App on the PC. The company identified a bug that deletes players' maps when the update is performed this way.

This occurs in the version Bedrockin Minecraft. To fix this, players must use the repair tool in the Gaming Services before proceeding with the update. This involves opening the Xbox app, going to your user profile, selecting the support option, choosing the repair tool, and following the instructions provided.

Minecraft: Caves & Cliffs

Although the update is essential for accessing the game's online features—including cross-play, Realms, and servers promoted by the developers—it is, for now, causing more problems than it solves. Players with the versions 1.20.70 or 1.20.71Players may face restrictions on access to these resources.

Due to the issues identified, Mojang has decided to temporarily suspend distribution of the update while it investigates the cause of the errors that led to the loss of players' progress. As of now, there is no definitive solution for recovering the lost worlds.
