Minecraft Dungeons, the action-RPG spin-off of Minecraft, achieved a remarkable feat. The Mojangand the MicrosoftThey announced that the game has surpassed the 25-million-player mark across all platforms. Since its launch in May 2020, the game has seen significant growth in its player base, especially in recent months.

The game began as a project inspired by classic dungeon-crawling games. Over time, the title took on a life of its own and received several updates and expansions. Not only did it gain a dedicated fan base, but it also ventured into new territories within the Minecraft universe, such as the Nether and The End.

Despite its success, Mojang has confirmed that Update 1.17 was the last major update planned for the game. This means that, although the game will no longer receive content updates, there is still plenty for players to explore.
By February 2022, the game had reached the 15-million-player milestone. The jump to 25 million in less than a year is a testament to the game’s enduring appeal. Minecraft Dungeons is available on multiple platforms, including Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Minecraft Dungeons was a hit for Mojang
The game was Mojang Studios' first serious effort to expand the Minecraft universe beyond the creative survival genre. The game quickly evolved with several DLC expansions and post-launch updates, becoming a unique and accessible action-RPG title.

Six DLC expansions are available, along with three Seasonal Adventures that can be played permanently. This ensures that the game continues to provide challenges and a variety of content for its players.
