Ubisoft Confirms 'Beyond Good & Evil' Remaster Is Coming in 2024

Hours after the leak of the 20th-anniversary edition of Beyond Good & Evil at the store Xbox, the Ubisoftofficially confirmed the game's existence. According to the company, the title will be released sometime in 2024. Ubisoft also clarified that the version currently in the hands of some players is a work in progress.

“Due to a technical error, a preliminary version of Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition was inadvertently released recently to some Ubisoft+ subscribers,” the developer stated in a press release to Eurogamer.

The company also announced that the game's official release is scheduled for early 2024, but no further details were provided. Since the leak, several videos of the game have begun circulating on YouTube, and Ubisoft has been moving quickly to remove them.

"Beyond Good & Evil" will support 4K at up to 60 FPS

Beyond Good & Evil will receive visual enhancements. The game's description stated that it would feature graphics optimized to run at native 4K resolution and achieve frame rates of up to 60 FPS.

The anniversary edition is scheduled to be released on the platforms Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 e PC. Although the game is now public knowledge, Ubisoft chose to remove the game's page from the Microsoft Store following this week's leak.

Scheduled for release in January 2024, the game will effectively celebrate the series' 21st anniversary. The original version was released on November 11, 2003, and tells the story of a journalist who uses unconventional methods to solve a major mystery.
