Cities: Skylines 2 will not have any DLCs until the technical issues are fixed

Cities: Skylines 2 It was released with many problems in the PC, but its developers are committed to not repeating the mistakes of other games by introducing paid additional content before resolving fundamental technical issues. According to the Colossal Order, they have no plans to release DLCs for the game until the main performance issues are resolved.

“As for DLCs, we won’t be releasing any new paid content for Cities: Skylines 2 until the most critical performance issues meet our standards,” said Colossal Order. “As a small team, we need to stay focused on the task at hand to avoid excessive distractions.”

The company is also paying close attention to comments and feedback from the community, and is committed to enhancing the game's overall performance and implementing various quality improvements. In addition, it has promised to reintroduce features that were present in the original game but were omitted from the sequel.

Cities: Skylines 2 will continue to be improved, as stated in a message signed by community manager Mariina: “My promise to you is that Colossal Order will continue working on Cities: Skylines 2 so that it can reach its full potential.” She also mentioned that the studio will soon release more details about its official modding tools.

Since the game's release, Colossal Order has already released several updates and hotfixes to improve overall performance. In addition, the company has stated that these updates will also benefit the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, which are scheduled for official release in 2024.
