Red Dead Redemption for Switch

For some time now, we've been hearing rumors about a possible remastered version of Red Dead Redemption, but the Rockstarhas not yet officially confirmed the release. Recently, new rumors have surfaced suggesting that the remaster might also be released on the Nintendo Switch, marking the franchise's debut on the console.

Although many expect the game's potential remaster to be released on platforms such as Xbox Series, PS4, PS5 e PC, since the original game was never available on those platforms, there's a possibility it could also come to the Nintendo Switch.

A reliable source revealed alleged news

Tez2, a Rockstar Games insider, noted that the developer recently added a Nintendo Switch button to the back end of its website. This may not necessarily mean that the game is coming to Nintendo's hybrid console, but it does raise suspicions on the matter.

The question now is how much work has gone into this version of the game. If it’s just a remaster that updates the frame rate and resolution but leaves the core experience unchanged, it’s understandable that the game would run on the Nintendo Switch.

This news may not please fans

However, this may disappoint fans who are hoping for something more substantial, especially since the game is already available via backward compatibility on Xbox and has received a few updates to improve performance on Xbox One and Series X|S.

If this version is a complete reimagining of *Red Dead Redemption* using the technology from the franchise’s second game, it’s possible that running it on the Nintendo Switch could be a challenge. But only time will tell. We’ll have to wait and see if Rockstar Games can pull this off and bring the Red Dead Redemption experience to the Nintendo console.
