The Jetpack AI Assistant will be integrated as a block in the WordPress editor and is currently in the experimental phase, but it is already available for testing by select groups of users. According to the company, this tool can help writers overcome writer’s block and streamline the creation of headlines, full posts, and even translations—all with a single click.
The writing assistant already supports 12 languages, including Portuguese, and will be available for free for a limited time. According to the Auttomatic, the owner of WordPress, the Jetpack AI Assistant uses a conversational system that allows users to enter commands informally, as if they were having a conversation with generative AI.
Generating the text takes only a few seconds, and the quality depends on the complexity of the user’s command. Simple commands, such as “Write a list of the most important tourist attractions to visit in Tokyo,” already result in a complete text.
In addition to helping create content, the assistant can also be used to generate titles based on the content, translate entire texts, adjust the tone of the language (making it more formal or casual, for example), and identify typos or grammatical errors.
Over time, the Jetpack AI Assistant will gain new features. So far, the company has not disclosed any details about the costs associated with using the chatbot or when it will be made available as a paid service on WordPress.
