If you know almost nothing—or nothing at all—about Redstone and are looking for new ways to improve your skills, this map will teach you how to build machines using funnels or hoppers, which are used to pick up and move items to chests, dispensers, and release mechanisms.

Empty Minecart
Place a minecart with a chest at the start of the track, and then put some items in it. Press the button to set it in motion. As it passes over the hopper, it will empty its entire contents into the chest.
Gaming machine
Take a few emeralds out of the chest, then go to the right side of the machine. Place an emerald in the hopper, then press the button to try your luck. Looks like I got lucky—I got an iron ingot.
Wrist lever
Use the lever inside the stone structure to turn the water elevator on or off.
Funnel Clock
To activate the clock, tap the stone button on the side of the funnel. The lights will begin to turn on and off. Currently, there is no way to turn the machine off.
Automatic Furnace
Each chest on the machine has a sign with instructions on what to put in it. However, the furnace doesn't seem to be working. The items are just being funneled into the bottom chest. Hopefully this will be fixed in a future map update.
Item Collector
Press the button on the right to drop some items onto the track. Then press the button on the left to make the minecart move, pick up all the dropped items, and automatically place them in the chest.
Lock Key Card
Place the red card in the slot, and then press the button on the right side of the machine to open the door. None of the other cards will work; this is so that you can see only that specific item to open the door. After you’ve gone through the door, you can take the card from the slot.
Chicken Egg Farm
This is a fully automatic egg-laying machine. Put a flock of chickens inside the machine, and then wait for the eggs to drop. Underneath the structure, there are a number of chutes that carry the eggs to the bin.
Item Classification System
Place the items you've collected into the chest floating in the air above you. If any of the items are the following, they will be placed in your chest accordingly: diamond, iron ingots, gold ingots, emerald, or quartz.
