Pizza Boy Game Boy Emulator for Android has been discontinued

The end of Pizza Emulators is not related to the closure of Yuzu.

Right after the Yuzu, another emulator has also ceased operations. The Pizza Boy Emulators, developed for Android, made it possible to play games from the Game Boy Color e Game Boy Advance on smartphones and tablets.

The app is no longer available for download on the Google Play Store, having been removed by its creator, Davide Berra. In a statement posted on the project's official Discord channel, Berra explained that his decision was motivated by a desire to spend more time with his family, something that the app's ongoing development had been preventing him from doing.

He did not mention the shutdown of Yuzu as one of the reasons for his decision. The discontinuation of the well-known emulator Switch It also led to the end of the Citra, a program with similar features that allowed users to run games from the Nintendo 3DS on the PC.

Pizza Emulators was known for its high-fidelity emulation, one of the reasons for its popularity. Accurately emulating Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games, taking into account the specific hardware and screen characteristics of the original devices, poses a significant challenge.

Although the Nintendo offer a selection of these games on its service Nintendo Switch Online, many of them have differences—for example, in their color palettes compared to the originals. The company publicly argues that these unofficial tools encourage piracy.
