A Paradox Interactive revealed last Friday (the 27th) that it is preparing free updates for the Cities: Skylines 2. According to the company, these updates will include eight free packs featuring regional builds, the result of a collaboration with 35 renowned content creators.

The partnership featured the participation of notable creators, such as Titan, bsquiklehousen, Darf, RichardShi, MacWelshman, Badi_Dea, Feindbold, Gurny, among others. The goal is to enrich the game with more than 2,500 original designs, expanding the range of building options inspired by European and American regions.
Although the release date for the updates to Cities: Skylines 2 has not yet been confirmed, Paradox Interactive has already released a teaser for this content. The themed packs will be based on different regions, such as France, Germany, the United Kingdom, both coasts the United States, China, and Eastern Europe, among others.
New mod platform in Cities: Skylines 2
In addition to the updates, Paradox Interactive will introduce an important tool for the longevity of Cities: Skylines 2: the Paradox Mods platform. This platform will make it easier to distribute and download mods for the game, available for both the PC and console versions.
However, the developer Colossal Order won't focus solely on creating new content. The company promises to continue working on optimizations for the game, which proved to be challenging even for high-performance hardware at its initial launch.
