According to reports on the support forum of the Apple, the update is preventing iPhones from making or receiving regular phone calls, as well as from accessing the internet via the local network's 4G and 5G mobile data.

The update in question was an emergency patch for the iOS 17.2, a major update for smartphones, and although it included new features and security measures against Flipper Zero, it apparently caused some compatibility issues.
