What's New in macOS Sonoma

Apple introduced the macOS Sonoma, also known as macOS 14, in the WWDC23. This is the latest version of Apple's desktop operating system and offers a number of new features for Mac users.
macOS Sonoma was announced alongside other software updates, such as the iOS 17, iPadOS 17, tvOS 17, and watchOS 10. Historically, Apple releases its software updates in late September or early October.
Which models are compatible with macOS Sonoma?

In terms of compatibility, macOS Sonoma will not be available on all Macs. Apple has shared a list of compatible models, including the iMac (2019 or later), iMac Pro (2017), MacBook Air (2018 or later), MacBook Pro (2018 or later), Mac Pro (2019 or later), Mac Studio (2022 or later), and Mac Mini (2018 or later).
Some models released in 2017, such as the MacBook Pro, 12-inch MacBook, and iMac, will not be supported by this update.
What's New in macOS Sonoma
macOS Sonoma includes a number of improvements and new features designed to enhance productivity, gaming, and overall usability. Some of the key additions include the ability to view widgets on the desktop, video conferencing tools and effects, privacy-focused updates to Safari, gaming enhancements, animated screensavers, accessibility improvements, and other general changes.
How do I install macOS Sonoma?
Currently, macOS Sonoma is available only as a beta, which comes with risks. If you want to try out the new features, you can install the beta version, but if you'd rather wait, the full update will be available this fall with fewer reported issues.

What's New in watchOS 10

Apple unveiled watchOS 10 during WWDC, introducing a number of significant updates for the Apple Watch. The highlight is Smart Stack, a new interface that allows users to interact with information in an innovative way.
In addition, there are improvements to the full-screen app experience, new watch faces, workout views on the iPhone, improvements to Waypoints, and several other features.
When will watchOS 10 be released, and on which models?

The full release of watchOS 10 is scheduled for the Northern Hemisphere fall, usually in September or October. Developer betas are already available, with a public beta scheduled for early July.
However, only users registered with the Apple Developer Program can install the update at this time. Compatible devices include the Apple Watch Series 4, Series 5, SE, Series 6, Series 7, Series 8, and the Apple Watch Ultra. It’s important to note that not all features are available on all models.
Interested users have the option to wait for the more stable public beta in July or the full public release in the fall.
