Cities: Skylines 2

Recently, the Paradox Interactive announced that the price of the upcoming release, Cities: Skylines II, will have a increase of up to 30% in Brazil following its release on Steam and in several other regions. According to the studio behind the game, they are adjusting prices regionally for certain currencies, including the Brazilian real, the Japanese yen, the Turkish lira, and the Russian ruble. In Argentina, the price of the game on Steam will increase by up to 170%.

The company explains that the “regional adjustment is primarily driven by the fact that several markets are not in line with the […] reference value, which increases the risk of regional price abuse for some currencies.”

For those interested in the game, it is still available for purchase at the pre-order price of R$ 165.99 until its release on October 24. After the release, the price in Brazil is expected to rise to R$ 215.79 if the 30% increase is applied.

Other currencies will also be affected by this price adjustment, with increases varying by currency. However, the U.S. dollar (USD), the British pound (GBP), and the euro (EUR) will not see any price increases.

Cities: Skylines 2 will be released on October 24 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox, and will be available on Game Pass.
