A Microsoft is working to improve the experience of accessing the phone from a PC. This is done through the app Your Phone, which has a new UI in the Windows 11. Currently, the "Your Phone" app for Windows 10 and 11 features several sections in the side menu, including Notifications, Messages, Calls, and Apps (only on select Samsung phones and the Surface Duo).

All of these sections are separate, so you can only view one of them at a time. This will change somewhat now, as Microsoft is replacing the menu on the left side of the app with a notification feed, so that notifications are always accessible while you navigate the rest of the app.

The different sections have been moved to the top of the app window and work just as they did before. You can mirror your phone's screen on your computer. Microsoft has not announced when this new UI will be available for the Your Phone app on Windows 11, nor when screen mirroring will be supported for more Android phones beyond the Surface Duo and Samsung Galaxy models. Additionally, iPhone users are out of luck, as the app still doesn’t work with iPhones.
To try out the "Your Phone" app on your Android phone, you'll need to Download the Your Phone Companion app from the Play Store.
