In addition, the update also includes changes to the privacy settings screen interface, providing more detailed information about the available options and how they affect user privacy.
These new features demonstrate WhatsApp's ongoing commitment to providing users with advanced security and privacy features. The new fingerprint chat lock feature should offer greater peace of mind to users who want to protect their conversations on the app.

According to the screenshot above, with this update, you’ll be able to block specific chats directly from the contact or group information screen. Once added to the list of blocked chats, the chat will only be available on that screen and can only be accessed with the user’s fingerprint or password, making it nearly impossible for anyone else to open it.
This new feature ensures user privacy, since a locked chat cannot be opened without the required authentication. In addition, if someone tries to access the phone without providing the required authentication, the chat will be deleted so that it cannot be accessed. This security measure further enhances user privacy within the app.
The ability to block chats is a feature currently in development and will be released in a future app update.
